Have you ever had a hard time listening, even when you know it might be the best thing for you?

This week as you read, you're going to learn about a man named Saul, who was chosen and anointed as Israel's first king. The challenge for Saul is that his reign as king is marred because of his decision to disobey God.

He took matters into his own hands and that led him to making significant mistakes, ultimately losing the trust of Samuel and God. I think we can all agree that trusting in God's plan can bring His blessing. God often works in unexpected ways, using the ordinary and mundane moments of life to prepare us for His greater purposes.

Trust that God is at work in our everyday life, even when you don't see the bigger picture.

Reflection Question:

Why is it so hard to trust what God has in store for us is good?
