Pastor Hana’s Reflection on Habukkuk 1-3
In the book of Habakkuk, we see the prophet wrestle with in question; "Why is life so unfair?" He looks around and sees injustice, violence, and suffering everywhere, and he’s frustrated that God seems silent.
But God doesn’t just ignore Habakkuk’s questions. Instead, He tells him that even though things look chaotic now, He has a bigger plan. God reassures Habakkuk that justice will eventually come, even if it’s not happening right away. It’s a reminder that trusting God means believing in His plan, even when life feels out of control.
Habakkuk’s story teaches us that it’s okay to question and feel frustrated about unfairness. It shows us that we don’t have to pretend everything is perfect. Instead, we can bring our doubts and concerns to God, knowing that He’s working behind the scenes to bring about good and justice, even if we can’t see it yet.
