Building A Framework For The 1st Conversation

  • Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.

Write down specific discussion starters for the first conversation with your trusted friend/mentor.

For example:

“I had a dream about ... and I’m wondering what God might be trying to say to me.”

“I’m having a hard time deciding something ... and I would like to have clarity on what God’s expectations might be for me.”

“I’ve been reading (insert Scripture) in the Bible and I’m having a hard time understanding what it is teaching me.”

Once you’ve written down some questions, spend time in prayer asking God to give you more insight into what you feel He is saying to you.

Write down whatever it is you are hearing from God, and SHARE it with your friend/mentor to provide more context.
