WEEKLY REFLECTION

In 2 Samuel 1-8, we see this in David’s life as he goes from mourning the loss of Saul to rising as the king of Israel. Throughout these chapters, David builds relationships with a faithful group of followers—his mighty men and loyal companions. In a time of great personal and national upheaval, David’s success wasn’t just about his leadership, but about the strength and support of the community around him.

Just like David surrounded himself with people who helped carry his burdens and fight battles, we are called to walk with other believers who can encourage us and challenge us in our faith.

When we commit to being with each other in community, we strengthen each other, grow together, and build resilience in our faith. No one is meant to walk or carry their burdens alone. Whether in joy or hardship, we’re stronger together.

Who can you walk with today?

If you haven't already join a growth group, become someone's mentor, or truly invest in the relationships you already have; just as David did with his faithful companions.
