Reflection on Spirit Empowerment
How can you share the gospel boldly when facing threats to your life? In Acts 22:22, while Paul proclaims the gospel and the good news about Jesus, the crowd begins to shout, “Away with such a fellow! He isn’t fit to live!” In other words, “Kill this man.”
When I read this, it makes me think about the many people around the world who are being persecuted. For some, this is not just a story but a harsh reality. In various places, it could be the government, or sometimes even someone from their own family—like a parent, sibling, or relative—saying, “Away with this family member, they should not be allowed to live anymore.”
True believers often struggle for acceptance in the world. Our commitment to righteousness can intimidate or annoy others, and our refusal to engage in their sins can provoke anger.
Reflection Questions:
In the past month, what have you done that made someone question your faith?
When have you taken a stand for what is right?
When discussions arise about evolution, abortion, or other contentious issues, do you stand up for truth and righteousness?
