Reflection on the Local Church

Talk is cheap and words are easy–meaning just because you said something doesn't mean I believe you until you show me.

Most of us in todays culture are skeptical of other peoples motives and intentions, even with the church. Yet as Christ followers we have been called to be compassionate and to serve other people, believing in faith that God is going to bring healing and do miraculous things.

As we read together this week, what does it look like to filter your way of thinking through Gods intention for the church and rediscover what role you play in advancing the kingdom?

Acts 9:36 talks about a believer name Tabitha who was always doing kind things for others and helping the poor.

Reflection Questions:

  • What does it mean for us to part of a church that is generous, known in the community for how willing we are serve and love, and how we practically live out our faith in Jesus?

  • What opportunity do have today, to reach out and impact someones life simply because you want to show Gods love to those around you?
