Reflect on the weekly readings with the following questions:
In Matthew 10:16-33, Jesus warns His disciples about persecution but encourages them not to fear. How does this passage challenge or inspire you to share your faith boldly, even in the face of opposition?
Jesus speaks about the cost of following Him, including divisions within families (Matthew 10:34-39). What sacrifices have you made—or are you willing to make—for the sake of your faith?
John the Baptist questions Jesus’ identity from prison (Matthew 11:2-6), and Jesus responds with reassurance. How do you handle times of doubt in your faith, and what truths about Jesus strengthen you in those times?
In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus invites the weary to find rest in Him. Are there burdens you are carrying that you need to surrender to Jesus, and how can you learn to rely on His yoke?
In Matthew 12:1-14, Jesus challenges the Pharisees’ legalism by prioritizing mercy and compassion over rigid rules. How can you ensure that your worship and service to God reflect a heart of love and mercy rather than empty ritual?
