Sunday

Reflect on the weekly readings with the following questions:

  1. In Matthew 15:1-20, Jesus teaches that what comes from the heart, not external actions, defiles a person. How can you guard your heart and focus on cultivating inner purity rather than merely outward appearances?

  2. The Canaanite woman demonstrates persistent faith as she pleads for her daughter’s healing (Matthew 15:21-28). How does her example encourage you to persevere in prayer and trust in God’s timing?

  3. Jesus miraculously feeds the crowds again in Matthew 15:32-39. How can you trust God to meet your needs, especially when resources seem scarce?

  4. In Matthew 16:13-20, Peter confesses that Jesus is the Messiah. How does this confession shape your understanding of who Jesus is, and how does it influence the way you live?

  5. At the Transfiguration (Matthew 17:1-9), the disciples are overwhelmed by fear, but Jesus reassures them. How can you focus on listening to Jesus and trusting Him when you feel uncertain or afraid?
