Pastor Hana’s Weekly Reflection
Discipleship isn’t just a title—it’s a daily choice.
Playing sports isn't just about the cool jersey and the game day hype. We quickly realized that the practices are brutal. The coach pushes us hard and quitting sounds way easier than sticking with it, and that's kind of like discipleship in Matthew, chapters 18 to 20. Jesus makes it clear. Following him isn't for the faint of heart.
Discipleship is a difficult path. It's more than just attending church or saying the right things. But about surrendering our lives daily. And discipleship focuses on character Before good works, Jesus cares more about who we are becoming than just what we do. You can serve, give and pray, but if your heart isn't changing, you're missing the point.
And discipleship is tested in the storms of life. When life gets hard, do we trust God and stay faithful, or do we turn back to our old ways?
Jesus didn't promise an easy road. He promised a meaningful one. So are you ready to follow even when it costs you something?
When life gets hard, how do you avoid turning to old ways of doing things?
