Reflect on the weekly readings with the following questions:
In Matthew 8, Jesus heals people who demonstrate faith, such as the centurion (8:5-13). How does this encourage you to trust God in areas where you need healing or breakthrough?
Jesus challenges potential disciples to prioritize following Him over personal comfort and obligations (Matthew 8:18-22). What sacrifices might God be calling you to make to follow Him wholeheartedly?
When Jesus calms the storm (Matthew 8:23-27), He questions the disciples' faith. How do you handle fear during life’s storms, and how can you grow in trusting Jesus’ power and presence?
In Matthew 9:35-38, Jesus sees the crowds and is moved with compassion because they are “like sheep without a shepherd.” How can you cultivate a heart of compassion for people in your community who are spiritually or physically in need?
In Matthew 10:1-15, Jesus sends out His disciples to preach, heal, and trust God for provision. How is God equipping and calling you to share the gospel and serve others in your daily life?
