  2. Read Matthew 5:17-30. What do you think Jesus intended by saying he came not to "end the law, but to bring it to completion"? In what powerful ways do you see him fulfilling the promises and teachings of the Old Testament?

  3. How does understanding that the Old Testament is connected to Jesus change how you approach reading it? What kind of mindset should we have toward God and towards other people?

  4. Read Matthew 5:23-26. Jesus emphasizes how important it is for people to make peace with one another, especially among those who believe in Him. Why do you think this is such a big deal? When there's a conflict, do you find yourself wanting to resolve it, or do you feel differently? What influences your feelings about reconciliation?

  5. Are you good at initiating reconciliation? Why or why not? What are some excuses we often use to avoide initiating reconciliation?

  6. Why is this situation important enough that we should pause our worship and fix things with our brother first?
