  1. What was something that stood out to you from this past Sunday’s message? Share what you learned and how it will impact your life.

  2. Read Jonah 3. How might Jonah have felt when God called him to go to Nineveh the second time? What did he do differently this time?

  3. What does it mean to "turn" from evil?

  4. When God saw their repentance, he relented from the disaster that he had declared would happen. Do you find this surprising? Why or why not?

  5. In Numbers 23:19 we read that "God is not man that He should change His mind..." Do we see God changing his mind here?

  6. In Psalm 51, David demonstrated repentance. Talk about the aspects of repentance and how can you have a clean heart.

  7. The people of Nineveh were incredibly violent and hateful, but God showed them mercy rather than holding their sins against them. How does this point us to Jesus?

  8. Who would you consider as the modern-day Ninevites? Do you long for God to show them grace and forgiveness? What might your response to that question reveal about you?

  9. Read Acts 13:48-49 and Acts 14:1-7. Jonah shared with a group of people far from God. Is God calling you to say something or do something in your neighbourhood? Where is God asking you to share the Good News?
